During a fun pre-match conversation before the IPL 2025 match between Gujarat Titans and Kolkata Knight Riders on April 21, Shubman Gill was left a bit awkward when commentator Danny Morrison asked him a surprising question.
With a cheeky smile, Morrison said, “You're looking good, wedding bells around the corner? Getting married soon?”
The unexpected personal question caught Gill off guard. He shifted a little and looked slightly uncomfortable but managed to laugh it off. “No, nothing like that,” he replied with a nervous smile.

The moment brought laughter from the crowd and added a light-hearted touch to the match day. However, some fans criticized Morrison for asking about Gill’s personal life instead of focusing on cricket.
So far in the season, Shubman Gill has been performing well with the bat. He has scored 215 runs in seven matches, averaging 35.83 with a strike rate of 149.30. He has also hit two half-centuries, with a highest score of 61 not out.
