Former Indian cricket captain MS Dhoni has become the first person in India to take home the Citroen Basalt Dark Edition. This special version of the car was recently launched by Citroen India, along with Dark Editions of the Aircross and C3 models, to give a stylish new look and attract more buyers.
The Basalt Dark Edition costs ₹12.80 lakh (ex-showroom) and is now a part of Dhoni’s impressive car collection, which includes luxury cars like the Range Rover, Mercedes G63 AMG, Jeep Grand Cherokee Trackhawk, and many more. He also owns a wide range of bikes.
This Dark Edition stands out with its Perla Nera Black body color and dark chrome accents on the grille, logos, bumpers, and handles. It also has red highlights on the front and sides, matching the global styling trend.
Inside, the car gets a Carbon Black interior with eye-catching Lava Red accents, stylish black leatherette seats, and red stitching on the dashboard and door trims. Other features include ambient lighting, footwell lighting, and rear-powered windows.
Under the hood, the car remains the same, with a 1.2-litre turbocharged petrol engine. It comes with either a 6-speed manual or 6-speed automatic transmission.
With Dhoni bringing home the first unit, the Citroen Basalt Dark Edition is already grabbing attention.
