Kia is all set to launch the updated version of its popular MPV, the Carens, in India on May 8, 2025. This will be the first major update to the Carens since it was first introduced in January 2022.
What’s New in the 2025 Kia Carens?
The new Carens will come with many upgrades compared to the current version. However, Kia has confirmed that the older Carens will still be on sale. The new version will be more premium and sit above the existing model.
Some dealerships have already started taking bookings unofficially with a token amount of ₹25,000.
Design & Features
The overall shape of the Carens will stay the same, but it will get a new design for the headlights, tail lamps, grille, bumpers, and alloy wheels. The new headlights will have a triangular ‘Starlamp’ design, and the rear lights will now be connected for a sleeker look.
Inside the cabin, the updated Carens is expected to get:
-
A panoramic sunroof
-
Dual digital displays (one for infotainment, one for the instrument cluster)
-
Touch controls for climate settings
-
Ventilated seats
-
Level 2 ADAS features for better safety and driving assistance
These new features will also be seen in the upcoming Carens EV, which will launch later this year.

The 2025 Carens will have the same engine choices as before:
