Honda’s Stylish PCX 160 May Launch in India Soon

Two-wheeler lovers, take note — something interesting is cooking at Honda. The company has just patented its PCX 160 maxi-scooter in India, and while there’s no official launch date yet, the move has already sparked buzz among scooter fans.

A Scooter That’s More Than Just Stylish

The Honda PCX 160 is not your average city scooter. It’s big, bold, and built for more than just quick grocery runs. With a sleek design, LED headlights, and a comfortable step-up seat, it’s got a very premium, urban-tourer vibe. The wide front windscreen also suggests it’s made for longer, more comfortable rides.

Powerful Yet Practical

Under the seat, the PCX 160 packs a 157cc liquid-cooled engine — offering a nice balance of power and refinement. It’s expected to deliver around 15.8 PS of power and 15 Nm of torque, perfect for both city rides and weekend getaways. And yes, it’s fully automatic with a V-Matic transmission, so no gear-shifting stress.

With 14-inch front and 13-inch rear wheels, along with telescopic forks and twin rear shocks, comfort and ride quality seem to be top priorities.

Will It Launch in India?

That’s the big question. While Honda’s move to patent the design here is promising, it’s not a guarantee the scooter will actually hit Indian roads. The company has patented other models before without launching them. But with the premium scooter segment heating up — think Yamaha Aerox and Aprilia SXR — Honda might just step in to shake things up.
