MG Motor India has launched the new 2025 version of the Hector SUV in India. The starting price remains the same at ₹14 lakh (ex-showroom). While there are no changes in design or features, the big update is that the new Hector is now E20 fuel compatible.
E20 fuel contains 20% ethanol and 80% petrol, and this change helps the car become more eco-friendly. MG Hector’s petrol engine is now ready to use this cleaner fuel, making it compliant with India’s latest emission rules that came into effect on April 1, 2025.
This move shows MG’s focus on sustainability and greener technology. The E20-ready Hector will be available for purchase from April 2025 onwards. MG’s other SUV, the Astor, already got this update last year.
The 2025 Hector continues to offer:
-
A 1.5L turbo petrol engine (with 6-speed manual and CVT)
-
A 2.0L diesel engine (manual only)
-
A 14-inch touchscreen, connected car tech, ADAS features, panoramic sunroof, and more.
MG is also running a "Midnight Carnival" sales campaign to attract more buyers.
